Our Story
Built One Purposeful Step at a Time
Every business has a beginning.
Some begin with investors, large teams, or a detailed plan showing exactly where the road will lead.
Crave Designss began differently.
It began in a home studio in Marathon County, Wisconsin, with limited resources, a willingness to learn, and one simple belief:
Meaningful work is worth doing well.
Crave Designss entered the Print-on-Demand world with original ideas, determination, and the hope that thoughtful design could become the foundation of something lasting.
We believed originality mattered.
We believed craftsmanship mattered.
Most importantly, we believed an independent creator could build something meaningful without copying trends or becoming another anonymous seller in an overcrowded marketplace.
The path forward, however, was not as simple as creating artwork and placing it on products.
The more we learned about the creator economy, the more clearly we understood an important truth:
Creating a product is only one part of building a business.
The greater challenge is building a brand people understand, trust, and remember.
That realization changed the direction of Crave Designss.
Learning Through Experience
Crave Designss was not built from theories alone.
Every design taught us something about production quality. Every website revision taught us something about communication. Every collection taught us something about consistency. Every article taught us something about education and search visibility.
Every setback forced us to examine what was not working, make better decisions, and continue building.
Like many independent businesses, our journey has included difficult lessons, changing markets, evolving technology, shifting algorithms, and periods when progress moved more slowly than we hoped.
Those experiences clarified our purpose.
We realized that our greatest value would not come from producing the most files or chasing every trend. It would come from combining original artwork with research, education, storytelling, commercial usefulness, and long-term purpose.
Instead of becoming another high-volume digital marketplace, we chose to build something more intentional.
Becoming an All-Digital Creator Ecosystem
As Crave Designss evolved, we moved away from selling finished physical products and focused on creating digital resources for the people building those products and brands.
That transition allowed us to concentrate on what we could do best:
- Create original commercial-use artwork
- Help creators develop stronger brands
- Preserve meaningful history through art and storytelling
- Produce practical educational resources
- Explore biblical truth and Christian heritage
- Provide personalized creative support
- Use business growth to serve our community
Crave Designss became more than a design store.
It became a connected creator ecosystem.
Today, that ecosystem includes commercial artwork, Limited Editions, heritage collections, Christian resources, creator education, historical storytelling, business articles, videos, and custom services.
Although these resources serve different audiences, they share one purpose:
To create work that remains useful and meaningful long after it is published.
Artwork with Purpose
Original artwork remains at the heart of Crave Designss.
The Standard Collection provides creator-ready commercial artwork for independent businesses, ecommerce brands, and Print-on-Demand sellers.
The Limited Editions Collection offers greater scarcity by restricting each design to five commercial licenses before permanent retirement.
The Sanctuary Series provides faith-inspired artwork shaped by biblical themes, Christian heritage, symbolism, and storytelling.
We do not believe creators need endless quantities of disposable graphics.
We believe they need artwork created with intention, prepared with care, and supported by clear commercial value.
Preserving Stories Worth Remembering
Our Wisconsin home inspired another important part of the Crave Designss mission.
The Wisconsin Heritage Collection began as a way to honor the people, places, industries, traditions, and events that helped shape the state our family has called home for more than 45 years.
But preserving history required more than creating an image. The story behind the artwork mattered just as much.
That belief led to the History of the Wisconsin Heritage Collection and Wisconsin Heritage Stories, giving readers a deeper understanding of the history represented through the artwork.
The mission later expanded through the American Heritage Collection and American Heritage Stories, allowing us to explore the people, achievements, industries, landmarks, and events that helped shape individual states and the nation.
These are not simply catalogs of digital products. They are part of an ongoing effort to preserve meaningful stories through art, research, education, and human-centered storytelling.
Faith and Biblical Education
Faith also became an important part of our journey.
The Sanctuary Series explores biblical themes, Christian symbolism, sacred history, and faith-inspired artwork.
The Christian Resource Center extends that mission through focused ebooks designed to help readers understand what Scripture teaches about important questions of faith and everyday life.
Our goal is not to promote sensational claims, denominational conflict, or personal speculation. It is to encourage thoughtful study, practical understanding, and a deeper relationship with God's Word.
Education Born from Experience
The lessons learned while building Crave Designss became too valuable to keep to ourselves.
That realization led to Crave Academy.
The Academy helps creators understand the parts of brand building that are often overlooked, including research, identity, positioning, content, search visibility, partnerships, product development, and long-term business structure.
The Crave Blog expands that mission through free articles, market observations, creator education, and the Brand Builder Blueprint.
We do not teach from the position of someone claiming effortless success.
We teach as a working independent studio that continues to build, test, learn, correct mistakes, and improve.
That honesty matters to us.
Custom Support for Creators
Not every creator needs an existing design or educational guide.
The Custom Creator Studio was developed for businesses needing original artwork, logos, website banners, brand resources, or creative support developed around their individual goals.
Every custom project follows the same research-first thinking, communication, and commitment to craftsmanship used throughout Crave Designss.
A Responsibility to Serve
From the beginning, Crave Designss has believed that business should create more than revenue.
Through our Stewardship Commitment, 25% of total company profits support community and environmental needs:
- 15% supports local Wisconsin churches and food banks.
- 10% supports environmental conservation and community stewardship.
We want every step forward to strengthen our creative ecosystem and the communities that have supported our family and work.
Built Through Persistence
Crave Designss has never been backed by a large corporate team.
It has been built gradually from a home studio through research, persistence, experimentation, and a willingness to improve.
There have been wrong turns, ideas that needed to change, and lessons that could only be learned by doing the work.
We have learned that meaningful progress is not always dramatic.
Sometimes it is one corrected product page, one better piece of artwork, one carefully researched story, one useful resource, or one decision to keep going.
That is how Crave Designss has been built—one purposeful step at a time.
Looking Forward
Every new artwork, story, biblical resource, Academy ebook, article, video, custom project, and website improvement moves Crave Designss closer to its original vision.
Our goal is not to become the largest creative marketplace.
Our goal is to become one of the most original, useful, and trusted independent creator resources we can build.
We want to create artwork creators are proud to use, preserve stories worth remembering, develop resources that help people move forward, encourage deeper study of Scripture, and strengthen the community that made this work possible.
If you have found your way to Crave Designss, thank you.
Whether you are a creator, entrepreneur, educator, Christian reader, history enthusiast, or small-business owner, we are grateful that you have become part of this journey.
There is still much to build.
We intend to continue building it carefully, honestly, and with purpose.
